SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIPS

ALL students except “govt-scholarship” students are eligible to apply for various new & generous scholarships now made available by the society as listed below. NO REDUCTION OF FEES OUTSIDE OF THESE SCHOLARSHIPS AND ALLOWANCES MENTIONED IN THIS DOCUMENT ARE PERMISSIBLE FOR YEAR 2023-24.

ALL STUDENTS WHO REQUEST A REDUCTION IN THE FEES MUST BE ASKED TO FILL OUT A “SCHOLARSHIP REQUEST FORM”. THIS IS THE FIRST, AND A MANDATORY STEP.

ONCE THIS FORM IS FILLED OUT, BASED ON THE RELEVANT DETAILS FILLED OUT THE ADMISSION TEAM OR THE FACULTY BRINGING THE STUDENT CAN UTILISE/SUGGEST ANY PARTICULAR SCHOLARSHIP THAT THAT PARTICULAR STUDENT IS ELIGIBLE FOR. IF THE STUDENT IN QUESTION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ANY OF THE SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE LIST, THEN THEY SHOULD BE ASKED TO WRITE THE ENTRANCE TEST. IMMEDIATELY IN THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE, AND THE STUDENT ASKED TO COME BACK FOR THE RESULTS, AT WHICH TIME HE SHOULD BE INFORMED THE EXACT & FINAL FEE THAT THE MANAGEMENT HAS DECIDED FOR HIM/HER. HE SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN ANY INFO ON THE MARKS OF THE TEST/PERFORMANCE- THE TEST RESULTS ARE CONFIDENTIAL.

THE TEST MUST BE A 25 QUESTION MCQ TEST FOR 20 MINS. THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS TEST AND THE SETTING OF THE QUESTIONS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE S&H HOD. AS IS ITS CORRECTION AND FILING, PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THE TEST IS A MECHANISM DESIGNED TO GIVE A REDUCTION IN FEES TO A STUDENT SO AS TO NOT LOSE THE STUDENT. THE TEST RESULTS AND THE EXACT AMOUNT OF FEE REDUCTION IS A MATTER OF DISCUSSION BY THE PRINCIPAL OR FACULTY WITH THE M-REP ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS WITH ALL FACTORS CONSIDERED SUCH AS MEANS, MARKS. BRANCH OPTED FOR, CURRENT ADMISSION STATUS (NUMBERS) ETC.

MANDATORY DOCUMENTATION FOR ANY REDUCTION IN FEES

(ANY reduction in fees; Concessions; Scholarships), IN ALL INSTITUTES.

Anything up to 10% of first year Tuition fee is permissible by HOI, in order to avoid loss of admission, ANY such reduction, requires HOI handwritten comments on the SCHOLARSHIP REQUEST FORM (on reasons why & category of scholarship utilised), Date & Signature.

ANY Scholarship amount (ANY reduction in fees, Concessions) over 10% in Tuition fees OR, ANY reduction in more than the first year of the course in ANY institution, requires Mgt Rep handwritten comments on the SCHOLARSHIP REQUEST FORM (on reasons why & category of scholarship utilised), Date & Signature.

Without such documentation, accounts dept staff will charge the student FULL fees, and any unpaid amounts will be considered fee arrears. Negotiations after the admission process on this point is not permissible and students with fee arrears will not be allowed to sit examinations after one grace semester.

FURTHER POINTS REGARDS ALL SCHOLARSHIPS

ALL scholarships need an entrance exam, to justify & prove justification for any scholarship. All marks are corrected internally and the marks or performance is not available to the family or student.
